Crazy fun weekend!

It was all go this weekend and we all had so much fun!!! Friday and saturday here in our lil town was fun daze! Friday night we all went to the family bbq at the local hall then hubbie stayed with the lil ones at home as they went to bed and me and Ellie walked down to the fireworks at the lake at 11pm! They were so good and so worth it!! The next morning we didnt quite make the pancake breakfast!! But lots of fun was had at the parade and also at the park for fair rides, games and petting zoo!! This year I was on one of the floats in the parade for the local hair salon! That was such a laugh and our float won first prize!!
Then yesterday my middle daughter turned a big 3!!! I cant believe it! She is still so tiny and so much fun! We had a birthday party in the back yard and the day was perfect!! I will post some pictures!
Its my oldest last day of school tomorrow then we go camping on Thurs so that is what we are all excited for now!!!

Excited for things to come..

Well it is nearly the end of the school year!!! Its my middle daughters last day of preschool today and then she has a wrap up party at the spray park tomorrow! And then my oldest daughter last day of school next tues!! We are excited for summer!
Friday and Saturday of this week is the fun daze event here in our small town, which is always lots of fun theres a family bbq, dance, fireworks, parade etc... and then Sunday my middle daughter turns 3 and we are having a party! hopefully outside if the weather stays nice!
Then the next weekend we go on our first camping trip!!
We have lots going on over the summer with camping, summer camps etc so I am happy there always seems to be something to look forward to so hopefully there wont be too much of " MOM I AM BORED"!!! lol

Happy fathers day to all the amazing dads out there!!! esp my dad and my wonderful husband!!!! Hope you all have a great day and lots of fun with your kids!

I just called my dad in England and wished him a happy day! Wish I could be there with him. Hubbie is happy with his gifts! We got him an MMA tshirt and cap. And Ellie made him a number 1 dad box at school. I took the kids the dollar store and they picked out for him... a toy golf set, bath fizzer and a beaver money box! (we love these pressies that the kids pick out themselves, they always mean the most). There is now sounds of laughter in the house as they are all playing together. Tomorrow my middle child is have a fathers day tea at her preschool so hubbie has the day off to go to that.

What a beautiful weekend!

Well, I think it is safe to say... summer is here! The weekend was so beautiful and SO hot!!! We mainly stayed home and had bbq's in the back yard, kids played on the trampoline and in the paddling pool, alot of laughter and good food!
Saturday night we went to a friends house for UFC night, and we were there until about midnight and I couldnt beleive what angels my kids were!!! They were so good!! Cranky the next day but I can live with that!!
Sunday we went to see a couple who hubbie did work for a while ago and we have always stayed in touch since, they are an old couple and we kinda see them as our adoptive grandparents as we dont have any family here in Canada. We were so sad. He has been in and out of hospital since just before christmas and I dont think he has long left. Problems with his heart. It was so sad to see such a different man than a few months ago. Last year he was bailing hay... now he has to sleep after walking to the bathroom. We feel so close to them and it is horrible not knowing if when we see him it will be the last time.
I was happy to finally get some camping trips booked... I now need to work on building our camping stuff up as we dont have much! lol! And we also have my middle daughters birthday party coming up at the end of the month so going to be fun!

All those qualities are great in a friend and its pretty hard to pick the most important to me!! But I guess I would say trust, humour and support.

2. What is the last thing you bought and later regretted?

I honestly try not to have too many regrets like this, after all life is too short to have regrets and theres usually always something to learn from it!!! One thing about me though I NEVER take anything back which is silly sometimes, like if something doesnt fit or whatever I will give it away to a friend or even the thrift store before I would take it back to the store!!! Not sure why I do that!!

3. Have you ever had a prank played on you?

Not anything major that I can think of! But lots of little things... my husband is quite the prankster!!!

4. What is your favorite theme park?

I used to love going to Alton towers as a youngster when I lived in the UK and I also had a great time at Canada's paramount wonderland in Ontario.... oh and universal studios LA... whats not to love about a themepark right???

5. Have you ever seen anyone else give birth?

No... but I would love to (aslong as its someone close to me! LOL) I would love to know what its like when its not actually you! hee hee!

Volunteer tea and Make Up

This afternoon I went to my daughters school for a get together they had to celebrate all the people who have volunteered at the school throughout the year. I had a great time! And a few of the younger classes came in and sang songs, the kids were sooooooo cute!!!!! and they all looked so excited to be doing it! Its kinda scary to me that my oldest will be going in to grade 3 in September, where does the time go???

I worked out tonight, hubbie said I wasnt getting away with it!!! He certainly helps me out when I need a push.... although he also knows when to leave it and not push me! ha ha ha! I did the treadmill, some weights and a little on the punch bag. Well.... whilst we were working out Keira got her hands on some make up and the result was the picture above!! lol!!!

Speaking of make up... I really want to do an evening course in make up artistry. I have been looking in to it lately and seems I will have to go in to the city for it. It costs quite abit so need to put it on hold for now but that is something I deffinately want to do.

Ellie and Keira have decided that they would like to share a room so they have been sleeping on the bottom bunk in Ellies room the last few nights. So far its going really well. Theres no in and out of the bedroom every 5 mins. I go tuck them in, then Ellie will read a couple of stories to Keira and they both go to sleep... lets see how long this lasts! But whilst they want to for now, I will let them.

Someone give me my motivation back...

So, me and hubbie started a health kick on 27th Dec 2009, basically healthy eating and exercising each day. Up to now I have lost just over 40lbs... which I am so happy and very proud about!!! But lately my motivation is low, I am not as careful of my eating and have stopped keeping a food jounal and I am finding exercise hard and missing days. Which in turn makes me feel bad about myself. I hope I get the 'want' to do it back soon. I always take part in a bikinibook challenge on facebook and usually captain a team to make me stick with it, and the next one starts June 14th, so hopefully that will give me the boost I need to get back on it.
